Takaful Malaysia is pleased to announce the appointment of Dato\u2019 Charon Wardini Mokhzani as the new Group Chairman, effective 1 June 2025. Dato\u2019 Charon Mokhzani succeeds Dato\u2019 Mohammed Hussein, who will retire on 31 May 2025 after serving with dedication since 2020.<\/p>\r\n \r\n

The appointment of Dato\u2019 Charon Mokhzani as the Group Chairman marks a significant milestone for Takaful Malaysia, enabling the Islamic financial institution to continue charting a course for sustainable growth and leadership in the insurance and takaful industry.<\/p>\r\n \r\n

Mohd Azman Sulaiman, Director of Takaful Malaysia Keluarga, conveyed the Board\u2019s appreciation and welcomed Dato\u2019 Charon\u2019s appointment as the Group Chairman of Takaful Malaysia. He emphasised the Board\u2019s confidence in Dato\u2019 Charon\u2019s leadership and his ability to steer the Group toward continued growth and excellence.<\/p>","second_content":" \r\n

Dato\u2019 Charon Mokhzani is a seasoned leader with a distinguished track record in senior leadership roles across the corporate, investment, and government-linked sectors. His career includes key positions as the Chairman of Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (EXIM Bank), Founding CEO of Khazanah Research Institute, Executive Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Deputy CEO of CIMB Group, and CEO of CIMB Investment Bank Berhad, as well as the Chairman of Principal Asset Management Berhad and Managing Partner of Zaid Ibrahim & Co.<\/p>\r\n \r\n

In addition to his corporate achievements, Dato\u2019 Charon Mokhzani serves on the boards of Yayasan Tuanku Fauziah, Yayasan Tuanku Syed Putra Perlis, and the Kuala Lumpur Business Club, and was a member of the Board of Universiti Putra Malaysia.<\/p>","bottom_content":"\"\"\r\n\r\n \r\n

Dato\u2019 Charon Mokhzani holds an impressive academic background, having read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Balliol College, University of Oxford, and pursued law at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He is a Chartered Banker, a Fellow of the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers, a non-practising barrister of the Middle Temple, and an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.<\/p>\r\n \r\n
