Takaful Malaysia organised the Takaful Malaysia Prihatin Ramadan Gotong-Royong Program as part of the Group’s ongoing commitment to supporting community well-being and fostering a spirit of togetherness ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
The program was held at Madrasah Raudatul Muttaqin, Sentul, and involved the participation of Takaful Malaysia representatives together with mosque volunteers and members of the local community in various community and welfare activities.
Nor Azman Zainal, Group Chief Executive Officer of Takaful Malaysia, said, “This initiative reflects Takaful Malaysia’s efforts to promote values of cooperation, social responsibility, and mutual assistance, in line with the principles of Takaful, which emphasise collective well-being.”
Among the key activities carried out were cleaning works within the mosque premises, including the prayer hall, pulpit, and ablution areas, as well as the surrounding compound, to ensure a more comfortable and conducive environment ahead of Ramadan.
Takaful Malaysia also carried out a tree-planting activity within the mosque compound as part of its environmental sustainability efforts, aimed at creating a greener environment for the benefit of the community.
The program also involved the distribution of zakat contributions to 100 asnaf children, as part of efforts to ease the burden of those in need while instilling values of care and compassion within the community.
In addition, Takaful Malaysia also contributed essential items for the mosque’s use, including chairs, tables, and items to enhance the mosque environment, in support of the facilities and comfort of congregants.
The Takaful Malaysia Prihatin Ramadan Program is one of Takaful Malaysia’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, focusing on community support, social development, and strengthening relationships with the local community.
Nor Azman added, “Takaful Malaysia will continue to remain committed to implementing community initiatives that deliver meaningful and positive impact, particularly in addressing the needs of the community ahead of the month of Ramadan.”
