Payment Methods

Auto debit your Family Takaful contribution through your savings or current account. By using this service, we will automatically deduct your contribution payment from your bank savings/current account.

Individual Retail Family Takaful only – Payment of Regular Contributions.

Important Notices

  1. Please click here to download the form.
  2. For new business/new application, please leave “Proposal No.” blank. We will assist to complete it with the correct certificate number upon approval of the proposal.
  3. For existing certificate, please write clearly a certificate number on the “Certificate No.” field. For registration of more than one certificate, kindly complete a new form for each certificate.
  4. Please select only one (1) of the financial institutions/banks to be enrolled for Auto Debit.
  5. Please complete Part B: Authorisation To Pay by Auto Debit of the Credit/Debit Card Standing Instructions and Auto Debit Enrolment Form with details of certificate owners and details of the financial institutions/bank account holders.
  6. Customers are advised to leave the “Transaction Limit” field blank. This is to avoid any disruption of billing in the event that the contributions amount stated​ differ from the actual contributions or the contributions stated are revised due to changes from time to time as advised by Takaful Malaysia. Takaful Malaysia is authorised to amend where necessary and debit the actual contributions accordingly.
  7. The completed form must be submitted to any of Takaful myCare Centres or Takaful Retail Centres.
  8. No receipt will be issued. Account holders are advised to check their monthly bank statement. You can also check via myTakaful Customer Portal.
  9. Takaful Malaysia will not be able to seek the details on the failed billing/deduction on behalf of the financial institutions/banks account holders as the information is private and confidential between financial institutions/banks and account holders. This is also in line with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

Timing

A period of thirty (30) days is required to process registration with each financial institution/bank. Two (2) months1 initial contribution payments are required while waiting for the activation of payment via Auto Debit.

1Contribution fee for activating the certificate depends on the type of certificate. For products with a monthly payment frequency, payment of contributions required is two (2) months before payments with Auto Debit method implemented. Whereas for products with a frequency of half-yearly payments, an advance payment of half a year must be paid being the initial contribution payment.

You can pay your Takaful contributions via Internet banking via any one of the participating banks, please log to the official personal banking of the respective bank’s website and continue to pay for your Takaful contributions.

Important Notice

Please key in correctly each certificate number for each payment session. Inserting general references such as “Takaful Certificate” or “Takaful” without the certificate number of the participants will lead to payment made cannot be matched/identified with the certificate number of participants because no specific reference is made to enable matching and identification of the certificate.

Direct debit your Family Takaful contribution from your savings or current account. By using PayNet Direct Debit, we will automatically deduct your contribution payment from your registered/enrolled bank savings/current account.

Important Notices

  1. Applicable to all holders of Savings and Current Account for all banks regist​​​​​​ered and participated in the initiative PayNet Direct Debit. The updated list of banks that participate are available on the PayNet’s official website.
  2. Not applicable to other type of accounts for example (but not limited) joint account/company’s account/association’s account/foundation’s account/partnership account/Joint-Management-Board account/any other’s organization’s account.
  3. You may obtain Takaful Malaysia PayNet Direct Debit Form from any of Takaful myCare Centres or Takaful Retail Centres, and the completed form shall be submitted to any of these centres.
  4. The Company has the right to charge the customer for the outstanding balance of the registered certificate made using PayNet Direct Debit payment method to ensure the certificate remains active and customer continues to enjoy the protection of Takaful Malaysia.
  5. No receipt will be issued. Account holders are advised to check their monthly bank statements with their respective bank where the bank accounts are maintained. You can also check via myTakaful Customer Portal.
  6. For rejected / unsuccessful debit, please refer to the bank where your account is maintained for clarifications and explanations.
  7. Takaful Malaysia will not be able to seek the details on the unsuccessful billing/deduction on behalf of the respective bank’s account holders as the information is private and confidential between banks and account holders. This is also in line with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

You can use Standing Instructions via Credit/ Debit Card – Visa or Credit/Debit Card – Master only to pay your contribution for the Individual Family Takaful Plan. By using this service, we will automatically charge your registered Credit or Debit Card for contribution payment.

Cardholder must first check with their respective issuing Bank/Financial Institution/organisation whether the card issued are able/valid to be charged via standing instruction/recurring billing for Takaful contribution payment before registering for this payment facility.

Important Notices 

  1. The Credit/Debit Card Standing Instructions and Auto Debit Enrolment Form can be downloaded from Takaful Malaysia website or available at any Takaful myCare Centres or Takaful Retail Centres.

  5. For new business submission/application for a Takaful plan, the completed Credit/Debit Card Standing Instructions and Auto Debit Enrolment Form – which is part of the Proposal Form, must be submitted to any Takaful myCare Centres or Takaful Retail Centres.
  6. The company has the right to charge customers for any / total outstanding due(s) for the certificate enrolled / assigned with payment method as Credit/Debit Card Standing Instruction to ensure that the certificate is active and customers enjoy protection from Takaful Malaysia.
  7. No receipt will be issued. Account holders are advised to check regularly their monthly Credit Card Statement/Bank Statement. You may also check through myTakaful Customer Portal.
  8. For rejected/unsuccessful billing, please refer to Card issuing bank for clarification as the explanations for the unsuccessful billing/deduction are solely meant for the affected Card holder only. Takaful Malaysia will not be able to seek the details on the failed billing/deduction on behalf of credit card holders. This is also in line with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

As long as you have signed up with the internet banking service provided by your respective bank, you can easily use the JomPAY facility to pay your bills. For payment of your contributions via JomPAY, you are required to key in the ​Takaful Malaysia’s Biller Code and the Ref-1 & Ref-2 unique numbers as stated in your notices.

Important Notices

  1. Please complete / use BIMB or BSN Bill Payment Slip only, and write the Certificate No. clearly on the slip.
  2. Only one certificate is allowed for each transaction.
  3. If paying more than one certificate, use one BIMB or BSN Bill Payment Slip for one certificate.
  4. No receipt will be issued. Account holders are advised to retain the processed/computer-printed BIMB or BSN Bill Payment Slip or the official receipt from Pos Malaysia as evidence of payment of contribution. You can also check via myTakaful Customer Portal.
  5. For payment of Motor Scheme at Pos Malaysia, please bring along any supporting documents/renewal notice to the counter.

Service Tax

Dear Valued Customers,

Please be informed that the Service Tax will be implemented by the Government of Malaysia at the rate of six (6) per centum effective 1 September 2018.

Pursuant to the above, the Service Tax will be made applicable to the following products.

  1. Family Takaful products provided to business organizations; and
  2. General Takaful products provided to business organizations or individuals except for Medical Takaful products provided to individuals.

Takaful Malaysia reserves the right to collect from our customers an amount equivalent to the Service Tax payable on the applicable contribution for the cover period. In the event where the cover period commences before but expires after 1 September 2018, we will collect an amount equivalent to the Service Tax payable on the applicable contribution calculated from 1 September 2018 on a pro-rated basis.

Your obligation to pay the Service Tax falls under the laws governing Service Tax as per the Service Tax Act, 2018 and all Regulations passed by the Government of Malaysia from time to time.
