Takaful Malaysia donated intensive care unit (“ICU”) equipment worth approximately RM75,000 to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (“HTAR”) in Klang as part of the Company’s corporate social responsibility (“CSR”) initiative in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic.
As an insurance company, we truly understand the importance of having adequate medical equipment to ensure patients have timely access to medical treatment and services. Takaful Malaysia is privileged and honoured to step forward and contribute in the form of intensive care unit equipment to HTAR. In line with our CSR aspiration of giving back to the community and contributing towards a caring society, we hope that the donation made will go a long way to facilitating HTAR’s efforts in saving lives and helping to support the Malaysian healthcare system.
Takaful Malaysia donated intensive care unit equipment consisting of oxygen tanks and racks, in addition to heated breathing tubes and chamber kits, as well as nasal interface cannula, which are essential to increase oxygenation in COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment at the HTAR’s Intensive Care Unit. Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, a state hospital that provides health care services for patients coming from the Klang area, is now one of the designated hospitals, which operates to treat and accommodate patients suffering from COVID-19. Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah thanked Takaful Malaysia for donating the ICU equipment.
We take the current COVID-19 pandemic situation seriously, as it not only impacts people’s lives and their health but also puts households under financial strain. After all, it is our responsibility as a good corporate citizen to lend a helping hand where possible in fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic. We would also like to urge everyone to take precautions and adhere to the SOP to curb the spread of the virus, as well as do their parts and get vaccinated for the health and safety of themselves, their loved ones, and others. Stay safe and healthy, together we can achieve herd immunity and support the fight against COVID-19.
