The Titipan Kasih Semarak Jiwa Malaysia Takaful Malaysia with Harian Metro programme, held in conjunction with the Merdeka and Malaysia Day 2025 celebrations at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Setapak Indah, was enlivened with a range of patriotic activities.

As part of the programme, Takaful Malaysia contributed RM37,500 in cash to 250 Asnaf primary school students and donated five smart televisions to five primary schools in Kuala Lumpur. The selected students came from SK Setapak Indah, SK Wangsa Maju Seksyen 1, SK Jalan Air Panas, SK Taman Seri Rampai, and SK Seri Bonus.

Mohamed Sabri Ramli, Chief Executive Officer of Takaful Malaysia Am, said, “We are delighted to extend this contribution as part of our effort to enhance learning facilities in a more conducive environment while keeping pace with educational technology. Alhamdulillah, financial assistance was also given to 250 Asnaf students at the selected schools as part of our social solidarity. We hope this contribution will ease the burden of students in need and encourage them to continue pursuing their studies diligently.”

The event at SK Setapak Indah was also attended by Roslan Hamid, Deputy District Education Officer, Student Development Sector, Keramat District Education Office, and Mustafa Kamal Mohamad Nor, Deputy District Education Officer, School Management Sector, Keramat District Education Office.

Mohamed Sabri added that 30 Takaful Malaysia volunteers also participated in a gotong-royong activity to paint and beautify the learning spaces and surrounding areas of SK Setapak Indah. “Their presence reflected the spirit of togetherness, goodwill, and community service, which are part of Takaful Malaysia’s culture,” he said.

Meanwhile, Husain said the Titipan Kasih programme has become a platform for Harian Metro to engage with communities through welfare activities that deliver a positive impact. “As a mainstream media organisation that is always attentive to community issues, we at Harian Metro believe that even small initiatives can bring significant meaning to society. Through the Titipan Kasih programme with our strategic partner, Takaful Malaysia, we hope this assistance will not only ease the burden of parents in need but also strengthen patriotism and love for the nation among the younger generation,” he said.

The programme also featured patriotic-themed performances, including a silat demonstration by students of SK Wangsa Maju Seksyen 1, an angklung performance by students of SK Jalan Air Panas, and a syair recital by a teacher from SK Seri Bonus.
